Approximately 1 and 6 people aged 60 and older experience some  form of abuse. These include financial exploitation, physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. This abuse is often underreported, with rates being potentially higher.

Decreased physical health and mobility put older women at risk for violence and abuse, but there are ways to protect yourself from being a victim and living in fear.

This course is designed for older women, regardless of their physical abilities, who want to learn how to identify potential threats, stay safe in their homes, and feel confident while traveling.
